The months of May and June 2008 have been some
of the most exciting months in UWA history,
including new champions and reformed alliances.
Sadly, due to a massive footage loss, most of
these events will not be seen. We do, however,
have a written history. To make things easier,
we've sectioned off things by the titles.
UWA Hardcore Championship
JD Marshall and Prototype have been continuing their Best of 7
Series with Prototype dominating JD Marshall sweeping the series
3-0. Prototype defeated JD Marshall in the first match, a 15-minute
hardcore ironman match, with Prototype winning 1-0. The second match
was a finisher match in which Prototype caught JD with the
ProtoShock giving him the 2-0 lead. The next week the men had
another match, this time a straight hardcore match that saw
Prototype get a shocking victory in under one minute. The fourth,
and potentially final, match, has been set for the Fourth
Anniversary Show in an I Quit Match. If Prototype wins, the series
is over, but if JD Marshall wins the series continues. Prototype's
rising confidence has helped in and been indirectly related with JD
Marshall's faltering confidence.
UWA Jobber Championship
Larry Ito has been dominating the Jobber scene and has been
holding his championship longer than any other current champion. Ito
has defended his championships against the likes of Jumping
Geppetto! Larry Ito's biggest challenge, however, came when he
wrestled Jumping Geppetto, Ultimo Molesto, Suzuki Sanchez, Golga Jr,
and Elian Gonzalez III in a Six Man Elimination Match. The final two
men were Ultimo Molesto and Larry Ito, but it was Ito's Lariat 69
that got him the victory. At the Fourth Anniversary Show, Larry Ito
will be defending his championship in an open challenge where any
wrestler is eligible to compete for the championship.
UWA Tag Team Championships
The Hardcore Mafia of Prototype and Josh Bobb have been keeping
a stranglehold on the UWA Tag Team Championship scene, defending
their tag titles against any and all comers. Most recently, Hardcore
Mafia defeated a forced-reunited tag team of MDC. MDC had hit
Prototype with the Terminal Marvelousity and just when it seemed
like we had new champions, Calypso superkicked David Chaos, allowing
Hardcore Mafia to pick up the victory. Later that evening, however,
after the triple threat between Calypso, David Chaos, and Josh Bobb,
Calypso and David Chaos reunited mutually and have another shot at
the tag team championships at the Fourth Anniversary Show. With MDC
now a cohesive unit and both men fueled by desire, can Hardcore
Mafia overcome their experience?
UWA Undisputed Championship
David Chaos had been on a roll as Undisputed Champion, defeated
the likes of Josh Bobb, Prototype, JD Marshall, and Calypso in
singles match. Swelling Chaos' confidence, he took on JD Marshall,
Calypso, and Sean Drego in the third-ever Homosexual Homicide,
barely escaping with his championship by last eliminating a
determined JD Marshall. Only a week later, Chaos defended his title
against Calypso, JD Marshall, and Josh Bobb in a near 50-minute
Round Robin Challenge, last eliminating (by choke out) Calypso.
Calypso was in the match for nearly 80% of it and was responsible
for the majority of the eliminations, but it was Chaos who walked
out with the strap. Chaos' last stand, however, would be against
Josh Bobb and Calypso in a Triple Threat match. In what was
originally scheduled to be a singles match between Calypso and
Chaos, Josh Bobb was brought into the mix when he forced Chaos to
tap out a tag team match earlier in the evening. In what many are
calling the greatest triple threat match in UWA history, Chaos
forced David Chaos to tap out and become a two-time UWA Undisputed
Champion, the only man, besides Calypso, to do so.
Josh Bobb started his championship reign out strong, defeating
Sean Drego to finally finish their feud from last year. He then
defended the championship in a triple threat rematch, this time
forcing Calypso to tap out to the Brippler Bobbface. His biggest
defense, however, came in the form of a six man elimination match
also featuring Calypso, David Chaos, Sean Drego, JD Marshall, and
Prototype. The match had a one-hour time limit and by the end of the
sixty minutes, nobody had been eliminated. All six men stared at one
another in the ring as UWA General Manager Swaff came out and
announced that Josh Bobb would be stripped of his championship and
that at the Fourth Anniversary Show the vacant title would be up for
grabs in the third-ever Deadly Draw Match! No names have been
announced but you can bet that these six men will somehow be
incorporated into the match.

The Huge Announcement
We here at UWAOnline.org are happy to announce that UWA will be
among the few backyard federations to have it's very own, full-sized
wrestling ring! Work is currently being done on the project and as
of this writing the frame is completely built. The date of the
Fourth Anniversary Show is dependent on when the ring is complete
but we here at UWAOnline.org will be sure to make sure we give you a
week's notice. All shows have been put on hold, however, to allow
construction of the ring to complete and the wrestlers to rest and
prepare for what promises to be UWA's biggest show to date. We will,
of course, update you with all of the latest as it happens!
